Here at Keen on Hygiene, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in empowering our youth. We are 5 college students, attending Campbell University, who just want to give back to our community and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits. As a collective, we truly believe that a bright future starts with a bright smile.

EMPATHIZE
Every member of Keen on Hygiene has been a kid, and it wasn't to long ago for any of us, since we are college students. We have also spoke to real high school and middle school principles and counselors about the problems that teens are facing today. Hygiene was a really big issue, especially since their schools are heavily impoverished.
DEFINE THE PROBLEM
After research, Keen on Hygiene decided to focus on oral hygiene. 1 in 5 children between the ages of 5 and 11 have an untreated decaying tooth. To make matters worse, poorer kids have an even higher risk of oral health issues.
IDEATE
Keen on Hygiene brainstormed an idea to create hygiene packages for students in impoverished schools. Next, we wanted to focus on just one hygiene problem that middle and high schoolers are facing and that is oral hygiene.
PROTOTYPE
Our prototype is a oral hygiene package. It will include things like a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. The package will also include an informational packet on common oral hygiene misconceptions, fun facts, and tips and tricks to proper oral hygiene.
TEST
The last step in to test our product. We will be going to our local schools and judging how many packs the school will need. By talking to the staff we will be able to find the right time to deliver the packages. A few weeks after delivery, we will gather feedback from the staff and students.
WHAT WE DO
Making A Difference
FUNDRAISING
Keen On Hygiene receives donations from local companies and dentist office in order to fulfill our mission. We ask for supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. These are essential for a young teens oral hygiene.
PACKAGING
After we have gathered all of our supplies, we then create individual oral hygiene kits for the students in need. Each student will receive the tools they need to have a bright smile. Included in the pack will be step-by-step instructions on how to utilize all the contents of the package.
DELIVERY
Once every kit is finalized, Keen on Hygiene will deliver them to the local schools that are in need. We mainly focus on middle school aged kids but hope to branch out to elementary and high school students.
